The Welcome Home is a net-zero lakefront home designed with aging-in-place principles. The house includes an attached dwelling unit on the lower level that can be integrated when family comes to stay, or partitioned for temporary rental.
Carefully considered fenestration and orientation welcomes the sun in and frames views out to the water. A street-facing front garden welcomes the neighbors to stop by and chat on weekend walks. And most importantly, the home welcomes family of all generations to enjoy the lake, the trees, and each other.
This project is a collaboration between Bryan Samuel and Paris Sim and is currently in the design phase. Past collaborators include Will Deutsch, Eshani Patel, and Limy Fabiana Rocha.
